The conviction of Fr. Ignacy Klopotowski’s sanctity was alive from the moment of his feath, both among those who knew him personally and among the readers of his writings. The funeral at Warsaw’s Powązki cemetery was a reverence for the deceased. A second funeral – the transfer of his body to Loretto – was another opportunity to emphasise the sanctity of his life and the heroic nature of his virtues.

The Loretto sisters solemnly celebrated all anniversaries connected with the Father Founder. Holy Masses for the intention of his beatification were celebrated many times (also by his tomb). The holiness of the Founder and his creativity in the pastoral field were emphasised during 50th and 75th anniversary of the Congregation. In the formation of Loretto nuns, Fr. Kłopotowski’s texts were referred to more and more often. Pilgrims coming to the indulgenced feast in Loretto visited the cemetery and the tomb of the Founder.

On 9 December 2000 his body was transferred from the cemetery in Warsaw to the Shrine of Our Lady of Loretto. The presence of his mortal remains in the sanctuary facilitated the spiritual contact of the faithful with the Servant of God. The gift of beatification on 19.06.2005 allowed for the official veneration of Fr. Ignacy. His heart was placed in the Warsaw-Praga Cathedral and his relics have made their way to all continents of the world. Most of them, however, are in Poland.

In recent years his relics have been solemnly introduced into the following churches: the Blessed Virgin Mary Star of the New Evangelisation and St. John Paul II in Toruń (5.05.2018), the ‘American Częstochowa’ in Doylestown (July 2019), the Presentation of the Lord in Warsaw-Natolin (10. 11.2019), Exaltation of the Cross in Dąbrówka (7.03.2021), Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wigry (9.05.2021), Sanctuary of St. Padre Pio in Warsaw (12.12.2021), All Saints in Brzeziny near Kielce (16.01.2022).

Blessed Father Ignacy became the patron saint of a newly built church in Otwock. There is also a street named after him in Warsaw and Lublin. He has also become the patron of the Care Home for Adults in Loretto, the community centre for Praga children called “Father Ignacy’s House” and the primary school in Miłkowice Maćki.

He is patron of Warsaw Radio and the Foundation of his own name. His creative and holy life is extolled in numerous articles published in “Nasz Dziennik”, weeklies: “Idziemy”, “Niedziela”, “Gość Niedzielny”, “Echo Katolickie” and the monthly magazine “Różaniec”. The Loretto sisters receives many letters with testimonies of graces experienced through the intercession of Fr. Ignacy
